eCarrot is downloaded on my device that I share with the users, how do I bypass the application?

eCarrot is designed for the ultimate flexibility so that the user or admin always has a way to bypass our application. We have a feature called the “Admin Override” that enables the admin to bypass the application by entering the admin password. Optionally, this feature can be turned off so that specific users can use the feature.

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Override”

Enter your Admin password

You now have open access to the device as if eCarrot were not installed

To reinitiate eCarrot, simply click the eCarrot icon and you will be directed back to eCarrot

If you accidently click the eCarrot icon and you would like to bypass the app again, simply follow the above steps

I forgot my eCarrot “Admin Password”, how do I retrieve it?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Menu”

Select “Admin”

Select “Forgot P/W”

An email will be sent to your email address that was used when you created your account

To go back to eCarrot landing page click the eCarrot logo on the top of the screen

I have multiple users, how do I create individual profiles?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Override”

Enter your Admin password

Select “Manage Accounts”

Click “Add User”

Enter user name (if you want your child to have a password to login, now is a good time to input the password)

Click “OK”

To go back to eCarrot landing page click the eCarrot logo on the top of the screen

How does a user login and logout?

From the eCarrot landing page, click the “Solve it” logo

User will select their profile, if a password is required, the user will input their password. If a password is not required, the user will automatically be logged in and can start earning time

To “logout”, the user will tap their name at the top of the screen and then select “yes”

How do I change the difficulty settings for individual users?

The default settings for “Solve it” are level 3 for all operations. Level 3 for addition is 2 terms with a range of 0-9 for both terms, subtraction is 2 terms with a range of 0-9 for both terms, multiplication is a range of 0-12 for the first term and a range of 0-2 for the second term, and division is range of 0-12 for the divisor and a range of 1-12 for the quotient. These settings are customizable per individual user. For example, if you have multiple users that vary in age, you can create custom profiles so that each user is presented with appropriate difficulty settings.

Use the user friendly sliders to adjust each level of difficulty for each math operation

Reference the bottom of the screen to see what each level represents for difficulty

To “Turn Off” an operation, simply slide the slider to the “Level 0”

To “Turn On” automatic leveling up, turn the toggle on the top of the screen to the “On” position. Automatic leveling up will enable the user to earn their way to more difficult math questions using our algorithm based on the users performance

How do I change the time rewards?

The default setting for time rewards is 30 seconds for a correct answer and 0 seconds for an incorrect answer. These settings are customizable per individual user. For example, if you have multiple users that vary in age and/or knowledge of math, you can customize their time earned and time lost for each question.

Enter your desired number of seconds earned for a correct question and time lost for an incorrect question

How do I block destination applications that the user has access to once outside of eCarrot?

eCarrot designed the platform so that the administrator has the flexibility of determining what applications users have access to once they have “cashed out” on their time to experience their reward. The default setting for destination applications is completely open, no applications are blocked once you have installed eCarrot.

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Menu”

Enter your Admin password

Select “Manage Accounts”

Select desired user to adjust destination applications

Select “Manage Destination Apps”

Use the toggle “on/off” to turn on/off an application

Optionally, if you would like to have only a few applications “on” select the “Select All” check box at the top of the screen. This will turn off all applications and you then can select the applications you would like the user to have access to. For example, if the user is young in age you may want them to only have access to age appropriate games

I would like one or more of my users to have the Admin Override feature made available to them, how do I turn it on?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Menu”

Enter your Admin password

Select “Manage Accounts”

Select desired user to turn off the Admin Override

Select “Manage Admin Override”

Use the toggle “on/off” to turn on/off an application

Turn “on/off” Admin Override

When the user uses the admin override, an email will be sent to the admin email that was used when you created the account

One of the users knows the Admin password, how do I change it?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Menu”

Enter your Admin password (this is the password you used when you created your account)

Select “Manage Accounts”

Select “Change Password”

Enter your previous password and enter new password

Select “Save”

How do I view my user’s performance report?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Reports”

Select desired user

Select “eCarrot Reports”

You will be presented with a cumulative report that notes the total amount of earned time that user has earned since the install of eCarrot. To view the specific details, select “Details”

Select the desired date to view

You will be presented with a high-level performance report

To send the report to your email, simple go to the bottom of the screen and select “Send Report” the report will be sent to the admin email that was used when the account was created

How do I view the usage reporting?

eCarrot has the ability to track the usage of the user based on how much time they have spent inside an earning app compared to the usage using destination apps. Additionally, you can view how much time is being spent on each destination app.

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Reports”

Select date

You will be presented with a pie chart that notes their time spent in Solve it and time spend on destination apps

To view destination app usage, select “Details”

I want my user to be able to make phone calls without having to earn time, how do they do this?

eCarrot will always allow users to make phone calls regardless of their earned time. Permitting that the device that eCarrot is installed on is a phone, the default settings for the phone call settings is open access to all contacts to call and text messaging is blocked.

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Approved Call”

User can type in a phone number to make a call or they can navigate their contact list to make a phone call

My user is spending a lot of time making phone calls and not doing math, how do I manage what contacts they can call regardless of their earned time?

If you choose to minimize the contact list to a specific number of contacts, “911” will appear as an approved contact when the user uses the “Approved Call” feature.

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Manage Contacts”

You can manually enter the name and number of the desired contact that the user will have access too

Optionally, you can select the icon on the right side that appears to be the upper body of a person, this will take you to the users contact lists

Select the desired contact

Check that the number is correct and click the number

How do I send a support email?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Menu”

Enter your Admin password

Select “Support”

Enter the subject and message

Click “Send”

An eCarrot team member will get back to you within 24 hours

How do I uninstall eCarrot?

From the eCarrot landing page, select the menu icon on the top right of the screen

Select “Admin Override”

Enter your Admin password (this is the password you used when you created your account)

Find device settings and select

Enter your eCarrot Admin password

Find and select “Security”

Find and select “Device Administrators”

Deselect eCarrot

Select “Deactivate”

Confirm Deactivate by pressing OK

Select Application Manager

Select eCarrot

Select Uninstall

Confirm Uninstall by pressing OK
